Anyone here received a Willys coupe body lately from Richard Zimmerman ?……. Iv been waiting forever for my turn to get one.
No, its from Richard Z. , known him for bout ten years. Bought it this summer at local car show in salina, KS.
Thanks for the link to the catalog. I have been looking for a 1/8 scale hemi for my 32 Ford Roadster to make a copy of the real 1 to 1 that is in the Henry Ford Museum. It was built in the 50's by a guy in Az. I have been in love with the car since I seen it in the 60's. I also belong to LSM forum, biut I have not been there for awhile. George
I joined LSM also, but I only posted on there a couple of times... I've been a member and moderator on SMC since '05.. Lately I've been having problems getting on there..
Spotted at the recent GG Scottsdale. I'm not sure it was 1/8, but it was pretty big. Scratched? 1/10? Anyone know more about the builder or perhaps a kit that it might have been based upon? Gary
hi guys for a couple of years a go, i built these beauties. sad to say that i sold them when i was buying a house. but now i have the "real deal" a 1930 Ford Tudor that i am going to make in to a hot rod or rat rod best regards from south of sweden
Those look cool, I'd love to see some close up shots of your detail work. ... also, please, a HOT ROD, in the traditional sense but not a "rat" rod... Especially if it's that car in your avatar. Too nice to chop up!
Just wanted to touch base with all great model buliders. I am wanting to have a 1:18 scale mercury model built that would mirror my full size version. I would like to commission somebody to do it and thought about y'all. If any one would like to take up the this task please feel free to PM me. Thank you for any time and consideration
JIGGER: here are some close-ups of the detailwork. and yes, thats my car in my avatar and yes, i am not going to cop it up. i would go for the Hot Rod-theme. no hood, whitewalls 600 in the front and 750 in the back, some mexican blankets to cover up the upholstery
There were two 1/8 scale resin Willys bodies produced (coupe & truck) but they are no longer available. They were rough and it took quite a bit of work to make a viable build. Heres the two I built. Never finished the coupe after I dropped the freshly painted hood and broke a chunk out of the nose. This one took 'best in class' in a recent show.
The Old Hermit sticks his head up every now and then, probably looking for ground hogs! Love the pickup, Al. Why not do the coupe hoodless, as a street car / hot rod? Later, Gary
Hey Deuces, I still lurk around every once in a while ) It's 90% finished but I lost interest in it Gary. I have several in the same condition. Heres the engine bay and the custom modified Vette interior
Very nice work, thanks! I like the bare bones interior on the grey one and the old leather look of the seats in both, very nice indeed.
Well I finally got around to making the model A grilles. If anyone is interested send me a PM. Oh! And just ignore the farmall tractor grille.
