Josh, Hang in there & don't let anything that folks from this message board say get you down. There is a ton of good info. here...but ultimately, it's just a silly message board that can't be taken too seriously Put together one of your vehicles and do it up right. Sweat the details & then take it to a shop where you would like to work and show em' your stuff. Make lots of rodding buddies at shows and casually let them know that you do quality work at a reasonable rate. Jobs will come. I would rather give my money to a guy who does great work out of his garage than some uber-shop where it will cost me an arm and a leg and will take 2 yrs. to get my stuff done. I think there are a lot of other folks out there who thing the same. Hang in there.

Anyone who thinks i'm being cocky obviously hasn't been reading my posts. The only things I have said were in reply to what had been said to me. I never said that I should get a job because I went to Wyotech either. All I have said is that I wanted an oppertunity to get my foot in the door, including sweeping floors, etc., whatever it takes. Some of you have already made your minds up about tech students, and that's fine, I completely understand. After all I spend all day with these people, and I understand how most of them are, your assumptions aren't too far off. Also though you cannot judge everyone that comes from that school the same, because they are not. Most of them are kids right out of high school, I on the other hand graduated in '97 and am 24 years old. I live on my own, and am paying for my own schooling. I'm not about to spend all that money, not apply myself, not get an education, and not learn everything I can. I am not trying to name drop, or say that since I went to this school that I know everything, or that I deserve a job, it's practically the oppopsite. I was only trying to point out that I am trying to educate myself, on the things that I am passionate about. It was a big decision for me to decide to go to this school, I left my girlfriend, family, friends, home, and sunny CA, to come to WYOMING! I think that says a little about my dedication.
By the way I finally filled out my profile, for anyone who cares. Sorry it took so long, and for the lack of intro in the beginning, but I didn't get the rulebook when I signed on. If there's any more info you need from me don't hesitate to ask.
Dude, don't shoot yourself in the foot. They're just razzing ya cause you're new... ask 1lowdelivery or even briggsandstrattonchevelle... they'll tell ya. Lay low, watch and learn. You'll fit in fine if you can do that. Trust me. Jay
