Anyone in the Los Angeles area transport cars?

It’s time to move a couple of old cars. All things being equal, if given the choice I’d try to direct the business to a HAMB member that does this sort of thing, rather than a stranger.

I need to move two cars, according to the googles, the distance is 23 miles. Both are short, 10’ & 11’ in length, both are in the low 2000’s in weight.

Flat bed, open trailer, or enclosed trailer. This is a paying gig, not looking for a favor from someone I don’t know. If this is something you can do please private message me. Thanks.

Kinda think a rental Pu and trailer would suit you well. Maybe you’ve never pulled a trailer, so I get that.
    Good luck!

  3. 23 miles is not far at all.. flatbed tow truck can do both cars at once providing the second has a good set of roller tires on the rear..

I haven’t towed a trailer or flat towed a car in almost 50 years. Not that I think I couldn’t, just that none of my cars have a hitch, and I’d prefer not to have to rent both a large pick up and a trailer, and I’m thinking a flatbed is the way to go. Was simply thinking I might be able to deal with a local HAMB member in the business before vetting random towing companies.

I also wonder if I can get both on the flatbed at once. Is 21' and 4500 lbs too much for the typical flatbed? I guess I'll find out.

You might be a tad more specific as to the from and two hoods. Some guys can drive clear across the state they live in in the time it takes go go from one side of LA to the other.
Tow trucks can often give you a pretty decent deal if you have them do it on their schedule. Miles are everything with them though.

4500lbs is well under what a rollback can haul & they can probably fit both on. Many pickup trucks are longer than 21 feet. If they can't, as long as one of the cars has 2 inflated tires, they all have "stingers" on the back...Load one, tow one.

That is the best way to go. As a transporter, I personally don't do anything less than about 400 loaded miles. Same goes for most of the other guys. 23 miles is what towing companies do ever day.

    God Bless
