Nice to meet you both. Let's hope for better weather next time. Back out in the garage now working on the Chevy.

Same here. Seen you before but never actually met/talked. Stopped HF and picked up another engine hoist so I can move my newly acquired tire machin off my lift so I can put the 56 up there and put the exhaust on.

I think it was after 9(GF says it was between 9:30-10 when we left.....didn't really look at the time. But my Caddy was the only Old car in the parking lot even when we were there.

Some buds and I went to Trader Village Swap last year. It was okay. I found some things I REALLY needed that I have yet to use, but I have them.:D Like most swaps, if you know what you want, you have to keep your eyes open and know when to skip the crap.

Not sure if I'll go this time.

Be patient grasshopper .....and time will reveal the purpose. Until then stash it someplace where you will never find it.

Traders village is a hit or miss event. Last year I saw a complete set of 35 Ford Wire wheels and the guy didn't even know what they fitted, they were newly powder coated as well. I already had a set and informed him what they were from. Second walk around he had doubled the price on them and they still sold.

Don't think I will be going until Sunday this year as I might be going to the 100 year Battleship Texas celebration on the Saturday and then the Rodeo after that.

Was Traders Village any good? Weather was crap on this side of town and is this morning as well. I think I'm going to give it a miss this year and go to Humble swap meet the end of the month.

I'm planning on going. If the seats get done in the caddy before then.

  28. I look forward to this show all year. A full weekend of hot rodding, plenty to do in Austin with various shop parties, hanging out on S. Congress etc.
I am super stoked this year, I saw on the round up's Facebook page my sedan was chosen as one of the feature cars of the show. Just hoping it doesn't look like the biggest turd there...

  29. We go every year, we've only missed 2 times. Our hotel is walking distance to the Continental Club.
Olskool your car certainly won't be in the turd class, that's what my truck is for. However you on the other hand, well, never mind :D:D

I snapped up a windshield for $200 for my '58 Chevy at Traders Village on Saturday from Deep Ellum Glass. LSRU was a blast the last time I went in 2008 before I went overseas; I'll be there again this year now that I'm back, can't wait.
