Diamond T's are awesome. My Dad was a dragline operator and his employer used one similar to this to move his equipment in the 1970's:

    My husband and I recently acquired a 1936 Diamond T 221-D
We have also recently acquired a 91 Dodge PU for the donor (mechanical 6BT turbo cummins, 5 speed), hopefully we'll be able to use most of the running gear from that with the DT body. We are keeping pics on flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/31110202@N02/sets/72157627063258638/ - we haven't gotten the donor truck home yet, will get pics of that when we get it home (flat tires, dead battery, so we'll just trailer it home probably) We did hear it run with a jump-start though and it sounds great, just gotta get it home so we can do some measuring and figuring!

I always liked the Diamond's look. Being a big guy I can't fit in most old trucks but the Diamond's look a little roomier. Would that be the case?

Edumacate me on the short windshields and what years. I like split windshields that open. Very cool.

  14. I couldn’t wait a full 10 years to bring this thread to the top but close. I’ve chatted a bit with the Famous FlynBrian and he mentioned Johnny Walkers awesome truck, so I searched out this thread. Not a lot of other posts and pretty scarce info all over. I today ordered the only book about Diamond Ts I could find, but it doesn’t seem easy.
So— any other Diamonds to show? Anyone happen to be an expert (or half assed wanna be expert) that I can bounce a couple questions off?
Mr. Walker, I think I should bring an armful of carbs off my little air cooled over the Cascades and admire yours—
