Does anyone have info on Vic Tuttle of Tulsa? He was a Hot Rodder in the 1950s. He was ex-Californian and part of the Tulsa Timing****oc. His 5w looks to be Lynn Yakel's old car but with standard style hoodsides.
contact jason or jim smith at the hotrod garage in sand springs, ok or look for others on here from that area. they just just had an open house at the shop to honor the tulsa timing****ociation last saturday and i know a lot of the older members showed up....maybe the guy your talking about. i know those two pics were in several scrap books... hope this helps..
The name Vic Tuttle is familiar to me, but I can't bring it up in my memory. In the picture, I wonder if the Glenn Pray is the one that later built the Auburn Boattails?
they had an auburn and chord on display at sandsprings saturday . the guy that built them was there....maybe??
jimmy b you may want to look at this link he may be in one of the shots http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=413696&highlight=tta
As mentioned, the Hot Rod Garage boys know alot of the old Tulsa timing****ociation guys. You might also contact Vintage Motorsports in Broken Arrow Ok, they actually occupy the old building the Glen Pray built his Cords and Auburns in. In fact, theres still a room dedicated to a cool collection of Cord/Auburn memoribilla and cars at their shop. If anybody can hunt down Glenn Pray and his old cohorts, they would probably be the guys. Hot Rod Garage 918-241-6333 Vintage Motorsports 918-266-6688
You also might try contacting Jon Brooks at Grand prix auto on Admiral Pl there in Tulsa. He is old TTA man And also old enough to fit the timeframe....
I think Vic is the half brother of Art Maimberg, who was also active in the TTA, and who is still living in the area. I think Art lives in Sand Springs. Vic arrived in Tulsa circa 1952 as I recall.
