I have this distributor, and can't find any information about it. it looks very nice and in great shape, looks to fit a V-8 EARLY FORD. THE CAP SAYS Delco Remy. it has dual points. any info will help!
appears to have an extra nipple for the coil wire...is it a dual coil setup? waht does the inside of the cap and the rotor look like?
Dual coil packard for the flathead. Makes the engine have two coils for better saturation time at higher rpm, would be the same as two four cylinder ignition systems. We have built a few of these , only problem being that the cap rotor spacing doesnt allow for higher than normal energy and cant use wide plug gaps ( not that thats needed on a flathead) the killer look for the flathead for sure !!!
