I am not looking for a discussion about build it vs. buy it or glass vs. steel... Hi Boy Classics / N & N Fiberglass... Drums, Pennsylvania GOOD? BAD? My Dad is wanting to get in a 32 roadster this year and saw these guys at a car auction in Atlantic City. Judging by the pictures I have seen, they look like they do decent work and the frame and bodies look right... Bang for the buck, it seems better than what I've seen anywhere else, other than maybe Brookville, but steel is a lot more money... My question is if anyone here has bought one from them? Good or bad opinions wanted... Attached is the link to their website: www.hbclassics.com/32_ford_roadster.htm (I have no idea what the deal is with the pink roadster in their "Gallery"!?!) My Dad and I are roadtripping to their shop on Sunday, I am just curious what to expect. Any feedback would be appreciated... Thanks, Andy
Looks pretty good. Can you get fenders? Will they put any kind of motor mounts or is everything bellybutton?
Can't say anythin about HB, but I'm a builder also and I've used 8 N & N bodies in the past 2 years and they are great quality.
Man, you're so close-delay your trip a couple days and hit Carlisle next week-or go to Carlisle on Saturday and HB on next Sunday. www.CarsatCarlisle.com--or do search here on the HAMB it's been in recent threads.
C-V: Looking and talking, not from HB Classics, but I am sure a guy could find a set of fenders and make them work... I am not sure about motor mounts. My Dad wants a SBC... da34guy: Thanks! That is what I am hoping for... I was so hoping that they are a stand up place, which is what I have seen so far.. My Dad is very excited about this, I didn't want to dash his dreams, but I wanted to make sure he had another opinion / experience and would get what he is expecting. 5Window: I really wanted to hit Carlisle, but the I have to do family time with my daughters that weekend. As much as I love cars, I have to remember what is more important, my daughters... There is no way they'll sit in a car for a few hour drive and walk / ride around for a day for the meet... Maybe in a few years.. Anyone else know of HB Classics / N & N Fiberglass? Thanks! Andy
