I was thinking about starting a small car club and I liked the name...the club will consist of me myself and I because I like the car plaque look.....if I meet someother lone wolfs that want to roll to shows together or meet up at cruises in LA then I'll get more plaques...I guess that's how it works :D

    "THE ODD ONES"

I don't want to step on any toes if the name is already used....my search came up empty.

    Any help is always appreciated

Never heard of 'em. Go for it!

I saw a car club registry on the internet several years ago. You might wanna Google that and check to see if it's listed by anybody else. Not that all the clubs actually register though......

O'Brien Truckers has a huge list....

    Here!

  6. The Govt keeps a list of trade marked names, if you look there and it is not trade marked then all it will amount to is name calling and fist fighting. Both of those can be fun. :D

You may end up having to buy a minimum number of plaques so the mfg can recoup the cost of making up a mold. I don't know know the specifics, best check with one of the makers. Good luck with the project.

ya minimum is like 10 at places i have looked....but they are pretty cheap. They give price breaks depending on how many you buy. Thanks for the heads up. much appreciated

No need to start a new "lone wolf" club. Join Grouchos "Stugots" car club. Here's their jacket. PM me if you need his contact info. He did this for people that don't roll with a club.

That O'Brien list must be old because we are not on it. They made our plates a few years ago. They even called us and ask if they could put a TX in the corner to keep us from being confused with Stray Kat Kustoms in Ok. We said yes. I see neither name on that list

I could be wrong, but I don't think its as picky in the car culture like it is with bikers. Can't create a bike club without going through proper channels, and can't sport simular names/logos/colors as local clubs without causing some problems.

Don't think somebody can just create a weekend warrior bike club with simular colors to the Bandito's or Boozefighters or Hells Angels without getting beaten by a bunch of bikers.

As far as I know, there isn't a "process" or formality to start a car club. Of course, I could be very wrong - what do I know....clubs are for baby seals. :)

He's from New York originally and it's New York slang. If you've ever met him, it fits his personality perfectly. There's about 5 people wearing his jacket. I keep forgetting to call him and have one made for me.

Used in a sentence, "You've got some "stugots" talking to me that way". He has some "stugots" showing up late".

Tony Sopano's boat was named :Stugots".

haha......Honestly, I have never been in a car club and dont know how it works but i like the idea of parking at shows with a group of guys or rolling to shows with a line of cars.......im headed to Vegas this year for Viva show and i would love to cruise out there with just a gang of cl***ics... I also like the car plaque look alot and figured I dont know any clubs so Ill just make my own and be the only member! unless i come across people that are into just getting together for shows or cruises or working on each others cars etc.....I chose the name The ODD Ones because the style of cars I like usually stick out as odd atleast at the cruises I go to where most cars rolled off the show room. I dont want to step on any toes if the name is used. Last thing I want is to roll to a show and have a bunch of guys come up to me and say WTF and start **** over something like a plaque....you never know..... thought I would ask on here if anyone has heard of the name and give it a little bit before I got a plaque made..... I dont want to be in a club with dues and required meetings and that kind of thing so Im just doing my own thing with no rules but a love for old cars and helping eachother out if you need it.

Stugots means 'testicles'. NOT 'the ****'. Look it up.

    Not 'old ones'? How come?

  28. Well if stugots means testicles then I have some old ones. :D
