Hey guys, sooner or later Im gonna have to custom build my headers and I was wondering if anyone out there knew of a way to build a jig to cut mandrel bends on the centerline radius with a chopsaw. Ive seen a few ways to do it with a bandsaw using a big puck of steel that the bend can seat against as you cut it. I dont have a band saw only a chop saw and was hoping maybe someone had come up with a way to acomplish the same thing. This is what Im talking about for a band saw looking for something equivalent for a chopsaw
I did a tech on my method a while back. The guage allows you to mark with the sharpie as suggested and then I cut freehand with a bandsaw.
i was just about to post one of your pics I'd seen before and saved...its a smart and simple way to get things done right...well done
yeah that'll work, thanks for some reason when I searched it didnt show up, maybe I didnt pick the correct phrase
