Anyone know of any rodders in the Ukraine?

Hi ya. I've scored a gig as a scenic artist painting a palace in Donetsk in the Ukraine and was wondering if there's any car or bike stuff going on over there. It's always good to hook up with some locals in strange, far away places. Anyone know of anyone or anything going on. I'm there for about 4 months from September.

I'm keen to see if you can run your Lada without fenders or whether you've just got to bribe all the traffic cops.

I used to trade model and r/c stuff with a guy in Kiev. He had some interesting stories. This was in the 80s when it was still the USSR.
