Ive seen this car, no pic, either in a magazine or one of my too frequent surfing forays into the net. It's a red 28-31 roadster done what I would call lakes-style. About 8' off the ground, full side belly pans and some sort of lakes/track nose, the rear wheels were just about level with the top of the truck deck area. Done up real nice, no rat job. Anyone seen anything like this? Or similar A's? I know this is a real shot in the dark.
Damn good work Jared, whatever HAMBER that is, took ya like 4 minutes to find it! 1929 A Sweet car tho I hate the nose on it, what else would be appropriate on th efront of something like this?
Been hidin' under a rock? That's the "clone" of the **** Flynt roadster, not the restored (actually completely rebuilt) original.
Was that origional the one that was in the 50th roadster show at the Cow Palace with the big (little book) cover shot poster behind it? The poster had a girl in the crosswalk and one of the guys bailing out of the car on the hunt!
I think there was a clone of the Flint car owned by famed and former southern california road racer Jim Busby. Not sure if he built/had built or purchased. Nice lookin none the less. It was featured in one of the magazines at some time. (that's helpful info huh?) -The Original Big Daddy
The clone was built, before the original was restored by DBO, by one of the Sievers brothers(Joe I think) of Indiana. Jim Busby still has it I believe. I also see DBO is selling/sold the LaMasa roadster for $175K.

It is at 35G plus and has not met the reserve......14 hours to go. You could not build it for anywhere near that amount $$$ .
Well it is an awesome ride. I just couldn't live with that front end, but to each his own or is that clone? I asked this earlier but what front end treatment would you use on a ride like this aka lakes style i guess, I just really like the profile.

The clone is real close in appearance, but it's quite a bit different. The real Flint car has a softer nose. It didn't sell on ebay at $35,100.00. Damn nice car. Dean

Know Rick Knoop as well..., (races Busby's other Candies car)! I used to stop by his shop often and he'd give me a tour of his newest projects..., Great Guy...!
