I have ordered on from an online trans shop and one local. Both are wrong. Main Case is T10B-1 and Tail Housing is T10H-7. 28 spline output shaft. It had a Victor 63565 seal in it, but I believe that one is incorrect as well. Thank you!!!

Looking around on the ‘net it looks like you might want a National seal, p/n 64798ZM, info I found says it fits Ford Sprint, that was a Falcon model. IMG_4790.jpeg

It might help if you gave us year, make, model etc. Also, are you sure the transmission is original to the car? Dimensions would also be helpful. O.D. of the seal, O.D. of the yoke, thickness.

  4. Ford used the T10 from mid-year '61 through '66, when it was finally fully replaced in '67 with the Ford toploader. The original plan for the T10 was to be fully replaced by end of '64 but production shortages of the toploader kept it in use. From '64 to '66, toploaders were generally found in all full-size cars but were a bit rare in the smaller cars. There were year-to-year detail changes, but in terms of fitment given years were the same.

T10 usage in '61-62 was full-size only, and the tailshaft housing length was about 20" with the shifter mounts near the yoke end.

'63 added the T10 to the Falcon/Comet and Fairlane/Meteor. These used a 4" shorter tailshaft but had unique shifter mounts. The Fairlane had a flat spot about midway back for the shifter, but the Falcon had three raised bosses close to the main case for the shifter. The Falcon also had an odd-ball trans mount. The full-size continued unchanged.

'64, the first year of the toploader and Mustang. T10s pretty much vanished out of the full-size, but were common in the smaller cars, toploaders were the rarity here. The Fairlane T10 continued unchanged, but the Falcon/Comet tailshaft grew three more mounting bosses at its other end for the Mustang. Only one set would be machined, determining which car it was for.

'65, the T10 was gone in the full-size, but was becoming less-used in the smaller cars as toploader production ramped up. The Fairlane and Falcon/Comet T10s went unchanged yet again but Mustang-only tailshafts started appearing with the Falcon/Comet shifter mounts deleted. IIRC, the weird Falcon rear trans mount disappeared off of these also.

'66 was the swan song for the T10 at Ford. With the Falcon/Comet switching over to the new-for-'66 Fairlane platform, these all got toploaders. The T10 continued in the Mustang through '66 then disappeared as an OEM install.

There can be anomalies. Ford wasn't above using up old stock early in a new year, and would substitute a T10 for a toploader for a warranty/service replacement, particularly in older cars that didn't use current production transmissions. Also remember that GM had an exclusive use contract with B-W up until December '60, after which they could sell to all comers. They also sold to Studebaker and AMC (AMC used them into the early '70s), and if you have a trans 'assembled' from various parts you may have to search a bit harder.

Hopefully this will help you figure out what you have...
