A buddy of mine is wanting to build a T like this. I have seen this photo in several threads here before, but does anyone know the car? are there other pictures of it? I think it is a great looking car, wonder why more people don't build em like this anymore?

  2. Any chance you can blow it up and read the sign in front of it?

  4. Pretty sure the bottom word is Gilroy. That's a town in California central valley. It doesn't look like the Oakland Roadster show, so maybe a show in Stockton California. Maybe ask Rod And Custom Ron here on the forum.

Link to page with some info (quoted below) and same picture:

    https://www.motortrend.com/news/1963bay-area-car-shows-best/

"A very immaculate 1923 Ford T-bucket roadster from Rudy Heredia of Gilroy, California was shown at San Jose and San Mateo. The nicely chromed Buick engine is topped with six Stromberg carburetors. The bright red lacquer was new for 1963, changed from dark blue in 1962".

  16. One reason people don’t built Ts like that is I’d wager most pro shops would tell the customer to “build a 32 and lose less $$$”

  20. Your right. Been away from California to long I guess, I must have been thinking of Galt. Didn't Monterey or Half Moon Bay have indoor shows back then? Maybe that's where the photo was taken. I guess it could be Oakland before the move to the Coliseum.

Neat. Looks like an Ed Roth type shifter, mile high. Would rather have the steering wheel a little more angled instead of like an Econoline van, but that’s the way they built them back then. I’d cruise it as is…

Moriarity… your buddy should look for a licensed built one. They don’t hold their value much eventho I’ve always liked and wanted one. I’d rather repaint and reupholster one than start from scratch
