Hot Rods anyone know this T bucket?

    Yep. That part is definitely tougher than it used to be. When I built mine about six years ago I spent months watching the ads for good deals on stuff. I lucked into a 1979 Malibu with a 350 and Turbo 350 for $600. It was good enough to drive it on a trailer for the trip home. I also found the front axle complete with brakes from a 1965 Chevy Van for $250. I kept a list of everything I bought for my T Bucket, and I honestly built it for under $6000. Of course you can’t spend hardly any money on paint or interior in that price range. And prices on everything have gone up in the past six years. If I were building one today, I would strongly consider putting a hood on it. That would allow me to use a more modern donor car, like an Impala or a Crown Vic, with fuel injection and a computer. With a little creativity you could keep all the modern parts hidden out of sight and have a cheap and reliable driver hot rod.
