Back in the 60's there was a chain of tire stores called OK Tire. Don't think they ever made any tires, but most any chain like that would call itself XXX Tire & Rubber Co to imply they were one of the big guys like Goodyear T&R, Firestone T&R, etc. My guess is that the wheels were private branded for OK Tire. Back then, everyone from JC Penney to K Mart to whoever was peddling "mags", cheapo floor shifters, and anything else they figured they could snag a few bucks on.

    Makes sense thanks

  10. It could also be that OK Tire and Rubber company took a Brand X wheel to a independent foundry and told them to make one like this, but just enough different so there wouldn't be any trademark/intellectual property issues. A turret lathe and a mill in some small machine shop made a wheel from the rough casting.
OK company probably didn't want the world to know they were repopping Brand X wheels, so there isn't much written history.

Are the wheels all aluminum or is the wheel steel with an aluminum face and center?
If they are the latter, they might be Rocket 2 piece wheels.

I got new set like that in 64 or 65 for my 63 427 and they were ET's and I still have two of them. I will check to see what marking they may have.
