Hot Rods Anyone Know What Happened To This Early 50s Built T Roadster?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Jimmy B, Dec 1, 2010.

  1. I was just wondering if anyone knows if this old Hot Rod has progressed? It was for sale on ebay back in 2007

wow...I've not seen that before....I regularly peruse E-bray looking for 28-32 Fords, so that's why I missed it - nice start for somebody, and the history is right on the tailgate.

Can't believe a HAMBer didn't snap it up - but few on here admit to grazing ....'thatauction site'...

No idea, but that's pretty cool.

  4. I think the seller may of been a HAMBer as I have a couple pics of it that aren't from the auction.

That is what I thought, I would hate to see it parted out or********ized in to some***** box rat rod or street rod.

That car was owned and sold by Barris collecter and lifelong httrodder Kurt Mc Cormick. It had a great profile nose and hood, thought to be a Whitey Clayton.Lusted over the car many times but never laid down my money. Sold to someone not known to me,but a lucky guy ,said to be from up East.

These two pics I got off the HAMB, and it looks like it was taken in Kurt McCormick's garage seeing how the Johnny Zaro Merc is in the background.

I was frothing at the mouth when that popped up for sale... almost ready to pull the trigger if I could get the money together...
I just couldn't convince myself for sure, 100% that it was a Whitey Clayton nose... and that was the main reason I wanted it so bad...

So I passed.... but I still think about it from time to time

Add a belly pan and it'd be a real looker!
