Technical Anyone know what this tool (puller) is for?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Center of the Galaxie, Jan 13, 2018.

  1. This puller was a**** my Father in Law's tools when he p***ed away. It, along with an alt pulley puller was p***ed along to me. I have no idea what this puller is specifically for and it kinda bugs me that I don't. With the wealth of knowledge I see here, I thought I would ask if anyone could answer. 2. I should also mention that my Father in Law worked at a Chrysler Plymouth dealer through the late 40's 50's and 60's. Thanks to anyone that can help. :)

Does it have a MILLER Tool number on it?

  4. Yes, I've had another look at it and very faintly it has stamped into it MILLER C-4467-1. The sides of the puller are kind of rough, as in not very well finished, and that's where the number is stamped. It's pretty hard to see.

  6. Thanks guys. If I had looked close enough I would have seen that number and done just that. Anyway, now I know. Thanks everyone. :)

It's hard to tell from the pictures if it is one piece or multiple....just looking at it it kind of resembles a Greener Radio Ch***is Punch....but they are in multiple pieces.... I have three different sizes of them....[IMG][IMG][IMG]
Does yours come apart or is it all one piece?

  10. I happen to have one of those as well. It's a 1 inch square punch, different make but similar construction to the ones you posted rudestude. DSCF1763.JPG

Miller C-4467 Puller removes the double V-belt type pulley with an internal slot from 1975-1987 Chrysler built 100 Amp alternators.
Is what I found on one on EBay

Actually when I found the first one (5/8") I didn't know what it was it was in a box of stuff my brother had given me then I saw one in a magazine and figured it out then the next two I got when I was helping my brother clean up after an estate sale he did.....they were free also.. family discount... I have never used them yet..other than cut my finger while checking them out ......ya I was seeing if they were sharp...they are...you got to do something stupid once in while it's how I test myself to make sure that I'm normal and not getting to smart.....
