Ok, I'll risk being the asshole here. How has this got anything with hot rodding or cars, engines, customs, paint etc?

My most memorable Rev show was at Club Baby Head in Providence around 1992 . The opening act turned out to be this totally sick rock n roll machine that tore the place up so hard, that the Rev just got blown off the stage. They were some fellas calling themselves The Supersuckers..Went out and bought "Smoke Of Hell" the next day.

Saw the band in Wichita a year and a half ago. A friend turned me on to them. Now I've got 8 of their CD's. They kick ass!

  14. Rockabilly is such a large group that it now is divided into many subgroups and the 'billy that the Rev plays is able to cross many of these groupings but his main stand out over others in my humble opinion is he is a great wordsmith! Endless stories that we are able to identify with not to mention the creative music rifts and licks that support the end work. Yes, I really think they are a great group and time has been very good to them as they keep coming out with great work again and again. To name one favorite song of thiers is impossible as I like so many! Thanks for the great music guys! And to how it relates to the traditional rodding web page? Are you not on a invention of modern times identifying with your fellow traditional buddies? Sorry guys, it is not 1955 again, it is the new world and we all love the same style and period of cars but the mix of new and old is a wonderfull world I live in. Be sure to throw away your cell phones also as you would'nt want get caught with that modern device either! Me? I will just keep driving my "Five-O Ford" it's my fucked up Ford! :D

They are in Omaha tonite with The Legendary Shackshakers. But we are jamming on getting The Hoodlum finished up to head for the Revolution event in Austin, so we will have to wait for the great tunes there, The Jungle Rockers, Dale Watson, Stone River Boys, and The Derailers. Can't wait. ~Sololobo~

Well. I guess that proves the Rev still ain't afraid of opening bands who can tear the roof off a club.

Just draggin' ass in from Lawrence. Horton Heat was great as usual! Saw the Legendary Shack Skakers for the first time. They kick ass! My son and I met Jim Heath (Horton Heat). He was walking down Mass. St. in the middle of the afternoon. I stopped him and introduced myself and my son. We had a real short awkward conversation and that was it. Shit I didn't know what to say! He was a real nice guy though.

Suggestions then? i'd dig a carl perkins show but he aint touring, and rob johnson in your avitar aint played a show for 80 some years....

  30. On tradtional rockabilly, I listen to Wayne Hancock for that sweet sound! I have seen him and talked to him and he is a great human being and musician. I got turned on to him listening to H3 as says that Wayne is the purest form of traditional rockabilly out there today, and he was right, very right! And if the Rev is to wild, try listening to Deadbolt! Horror halloween rockabilly!
