I saw this 32 for sale and was wondering if anyone has seen the car? The color choice is a little strange, and it needs a tire adjustment to improve the stance, but a real steel car for $75K is not that bad...or am I on glue for even considering this? It's been on ebay a few times as well. Advice gladly accepted. http://www.auto-n-vest.com/search/detail.cfm?id=317 Thanks.
A steel show car...translation...a new brookville bodied car using mostly repo parts. If it's perfect for you then maybe it works for you. If you want to change anything at all, I think you could have one built to your specs for less. Maybe not? If you could find another brookville car for say 35K, you could do a lot of personalizing with the difference. Besides real hot rods have 3 pedals.
Does look like a Brookville body from pictures. The frame needs to be painted. Trade in your 69 Camaro and 10K, I'll build you one for less(couple hundred bucks). Wonder what the frame looks like,K-member??
It was represented as a real steel car in the last ebay auction or somewheree else I saw it, now after I read it again, it's appears to be a brookville car...Thanks for the feedback. Yep, frame is ugly. Yep, it needs a third pedal...I agree on all counts! And my Camaro is a 1968 w/ some TA history so it's worth a bit more Thanks
It looks like it does have a 39 trans, look at the shifter top. In a weekend you could really turn that car around.
It's on eBay now........and its @$32,100...... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1932...4620943954QQcategoryZ6057QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Way too much $$$ ......for not enough car IMHO...... Brookville body....$11,000 Original 32 ch***is $4,000 ( roller ) 15 grand total..... That's over 60 thousand to play with....at his price of 79 grand..... It has been on eBay 3 or 4 times........and has never got close.......to the money....the frame just KILLS it ...for me......if it was body color......it would bring more money but NOT the 70 grand plus price tag......IMHO..... I like this one way better.....for less than 1/2 the money......and it's on eBay too.....belongs to a HAMBer......or I have seen it listed in the Hamb cl***ifieds....a few weeks ago...... .
I saw that other one as well, it's got a great look, wish it had something besides a chebby 350 in it, but it has 100% more soul that the orange one. He said his reserve is 47K. I know you guys will help me find the right car in due time. Might have to **** it up and build it myself, just don't have time for a major project at the moment. Thanks...
I'm going to p*** on it, just like everyone else has...has too many needs, I want a Genuine Herny Ford body if I'm going to drop the big coin. Thank you for the offer!
Well in that case, have you considered the maroon '32 that Jimmy White finished up not too long ago? It is a Brookville body, but it's as nice as any traditional '32 as far as I'm concerned, and runs as good as it looks. Sounds like it's in your price range as well. In the foreground here:
You stuck on a 32?? T-man on the HAMB here has a VERY well built touring T. For considerable less than the numbers bounced around above...
i'm originally from dothan. i can tell you that the guy is usually on the high side on everything he sells. don't get me wrong he tends to have nice cars. a buddy of mine has done a few cars for him but i believe they parted ways LONG ago. likes to get paid but is hard to get to pay you from the rumor i heard. i will say he usually has car done by some of the best you can get in the area and thats were i worked in the body and paint business and theres some good ones around there. the price is high in my opinion, but like i said he is known to be somewhere in the 10-25% over what it should bring range. i've seen alot of stuff sit at his shop til the price drops to normal. i only make it home to see family once or twice a year and see alot of the same stuff at his place on repeat trips. not trying to beat the guy up or anything because his stuff is usually very nice...ken....
Yes, really want a 32, I like the 32 body style and the 32 is a larger car that the A, being 6ft can be challenging when it comes to fitting into old cars...I was close to buying Rudy's black 29 before he put it on ebay, the only reason I fit in it was because Rudy made the seat sit back about 5 inches. Thanks.
