I'm sure this has been done a bunch of times, but I cant seem to find any by searching. Thinking steel dash in steel original body

Have you done it? did you like it? how much of a pain was it? pictures?

Not the same arch, so would need a lot of reshaping on the top edge.

I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing. I have a new brookville 3W dash that I wouldn’t shed any tears over if I chop it up (if I can’t sell it).
If you decide to do it, please post some pics of the process and work (it might help me make up my mind) ;)

I'm super surprised this isn't more common, I guess there must be a good reason !

I love a functional glove box, I put one of the "3 window style" Brookville dashes in my roadster with a home-made gauge panel and its fantastic.

I have sure seen a lot of 40 dashes in 32's, and that has to be WAY harder than a 3w dash in a 5w ! :)

    I'm just surprised, that's all !
