Projects Anyone put a 1932 3 window dash in a 5 window?

I'm sure this has been done a bunch of times, but I cant seem to find any by searching. Thinking steel dash in steel original body

Have you done it? did you like it? how much of a pain was it? pictures?

 

Not the same arch, so would need a lot of reshaping on the top edge.

 

I thought about just using the bottom part, to get and the embossed panel ?

 

I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing. I have a new brookville 3W dash that I wouldn’t shed any tears over if I chop it up (if I can’t sell it).
If you decide to do it, please post some pics of the process and work (it might help me make up my mind)

 

I'm super surprised this isn't more common, I guess there must be a good reason !

I love a functional glove box, I put one of the "3 window style" Brookville dashes in my roadster with a home-made gauge panel and its fantastic.

I have sure seen a lot of 40 dashes in 32's, and that has to be WAY harder than a 3w dash in a 5w !

I'm just surprised, that's all !

 

A friend of mine has done several. It must not be to difficult.
