Anyone remember a tech thread...

... from a couple years back where somebody made the shaft part of a wishbone from a tube he split in two?

why can't you just make them outta 1.5" tubing with a welded in bung, instead of going to the trouble of spliting and rewelding??

 

To get the tapered shape.
