The car in my avtar has the same size wheel. I wanted alittle rake to it which is done with suspension modifications. The rear tire, I wanted it to appear larger with the smaller wheel well opening. So I went a tire size bigger with a little wider whitewall. If I didn`t do this, the front tire would appear larger than the rear with it`s larger wheel well opening. Which wouldn`t look good. Look closely at side profiles and most front tires appear larger than the rear tires due to the shape and size of wheel wells. .

All 4 tires and wheels are the same on my car. The rake is in the suspension.

Sounds good. I'm probably going to try a 17x7 front and a 17x8 rear wheel. Test fit some tires and see if my current suspension setup gives me the rake I'm looking for.
