Anyone running a SBF in their Model A?

You guys are crazy putting a ford motor in a ford
I always enjoy seeing this combo at a car show sadly we never see it enough Good job

**** putting a 5.0/302 into a Ford ch***ie is pretty easy, now that 392 wow it's wide, heavy,tall,long and just coool. They all fit just more planning to make her work and look great! with out having a stimulus package

 

Oh man, who makes them? I could have done with that in my RPU!

 

i'm curious as to this short filter everyone is talking about any make and part #s the people at the parts stores around here are lazy and dont want to look stuff up ! i'm putin a 302 in my rpu and bought the 90 degree adapter but dont care for the looks of it because i cant bring it straight out the front due to the fuel pump ! if i could find a short filter and go without the adapter that would be great ! heres a few pics of my engine with the sno white waterpump conversio , freed up a couple inches !

 

I used a oil filter for a 4cyl Toyota Pickup, something from the late 80's I think. Toyota didn't change there filter size very often. This was recommended somewhere on the HAMB. It's a lot smaller.

I have a 302 in my 32 my motor was set to low in the ch***is but i got by with a filter mount that is off of a v8 EXPLORER, the same as the gt40 heads come off of, i stlll had to shave a little off of my vega ADJ and i use a fl820 oil filter, the positive comments i get from everybody about having a FORD in a FORD is well worth it.

 

The short filter I used on the 302 in my A frame with Vega cross steer is a WIX 51311. I believe its for a Volvo. It fits great.

 

I use a FRAM PH16 in my 32 with a 302 and a Vega box. I think it's still too long for the A though so we used the 90 degree adapter from Ford Racing
