Found an old sprint car for sale in Indiana. hope someone from the HAMB can get this. https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/cto/d/1947-original-sprint-car/6376548917.html
Hope it gets used for exhibition or goes to a museum where it can be seen and appreciated. It is different enough from the normal looking sprint cars that it would make a nice addition to a race car collection.
Since CL ads disappear, here is the text: "Original 1947 sprint car. Built by my grandfather, Floyd Kroft . Raced in the 1950s and 1960s. Fully restored, in mint condition, all original parts used by my father, Bob Williams in the 1970s. Raced exhibition and showed in the 1980s and 1990s. It was put into storage in the early 2000's in driving mint condition. Four years ago, we had to put it into a trailer and unfortunately it took water damage. The frame is good, body has some rust, motor likely needs rebuilt. 272 Y block Ford motor. I have several photo albums as well as a four-page letter regarding the cars history. Other than that, I have none. Unfortunately everyone that knew about the car is long gone. Now that my fathers passed away we are looking to sell the car. We have had it appraised. We are asking $5000 But we are open to offers. We would like to see the car restored and Shown for others to see."
