Does anyone remember this truck or perhaps where the picture was taken? It came from @Stogy archives.

It was taken September of 1957, one year before this truck was painted Dean Jeffries. Lots of similarities down to the exact tires, stretched hood, grill location, belly burner holes in the running boards and the blue truck was red before the final blue.

  2. Top one looks chopped more? Neat trucks!

  3. The old pictures the grill looks more pushed forward looking at the relationship of the headlights to it. The top pic has the actual light glass being set beside the grill and slightly behind the 32 insert. Where the current pic the head light is actually in front the of the grill. Any indication in the fenders that the headlights have been moved around at some point?

I see what you are saying. At first glance it looks like the hood is stretched wayyyy out but now I’m thinking the front fenders are bobbed in the 1957 pic. That and the fact the headlights are mounted to the fenders and not a headlight bar.

I think the dark truck looks like it has a 35-40 front axle and wishbone, with the spring in front. Pushes the wheels back if they leave the crossmember in the original spot.

I believe @123 inadvertently solved this one in my other thread. Is this the 57 version of this truck?
