i'm not familiar with some of the systems mentioned... actually, only with megasquirt- which does use an idle air control valve...

some 10 or so years ago, i was experimenting with a mid 60s Mercedes CIS injection (all mechanical), on a SBC. used an edelbrock intake that was drilled/tapped for the injectors, and the mercedes throttle body (which sits where the carb would, although a different bolt pattern).
it wasn't very successful, but looking back at it the reason would lay mostly with my inexperience. the engine would start and idle fine, but the metering was all wacky under load. it looked *****in', though...

some years later, after working on some other CIS vehicles and actually learning how to tune the things... i wouldn't mind playing around with it a bit more. i think it would look awesome on a 60s style hot rod, and after the initial setup it shouldn't be any more difficult to maintain than a single carb setup would.... but offer a lot of tuning potential, and some (hopefully) better drivability. plus, on an individual throttle body intake... like a hilborn style... it'd be seriously *****in'

The difference is the EFI kit includes the pumps, filters, regulator...etc. You can buy just an EFI compatible Injector for $2135.00. Why is it more? Because of the vacuum kit, TPS and additional fuel hardware. Although we like to sell kits we will sell individual components as well. Please feel free to give us a call if you are unsure

Sorry I have not responded in order...We tap into all 8 throats to supply a smooth vacuum signal to a common junction block. If you also plan on using a MAP sensor a second vacuum kit may be required.
