I think it's neat, skull and all. Of course it's a cartoon (like the Cop Shop Coupe, or the PPE, or Rudy's truck) and a good one. Those of you who know my line of work will not find this a big surprise...
that chasis looks strangely familiar.. does anyone know if that could he that 100,000 duece chassis that I saw at puyallup last summer?? I forget the builders name now.. damn.. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THATS A RUSS MEEKS CHASSIS???
I can't be sure, but atr those rear tires shaved down 4x4 tires? the details on the edge of the sidewall look like something I've seen on the side of big mudder tires. I like it, if he wants attention, he'll get it. If he's building it to drive, the seat and steering wheel could be designed so you don't slide out. The skull thing is a bit over the top, but that fits the character of the car... cartoony.
Anytime, someone builds something that causes this much reaction and emotion.. then I say this guy is cutting edge. No different than Barris. I'm sure they badmouthed him as much.
[ QUOTE ] ... next time you go looking for an old car body to build, and you can't find one, or they are so over priced due to unavailability, remember what someone did to this one. [/ QUOTE ] That's exactly what the restorers say about us.
if you stop and think about it, if you are building a car "just like back in the (fill in the blank)" and every detail has to be just so, we're just like the restorers.
