since I already own it. its suppose to be a 57 plymouth fury. The floor in the car is actually really solid. but the lower quarters are rusty and they have been cut off not by me tho. I don't have the motor or trans tho.

for some reason, i alway's liked 57 and 58 plymouths..probably because of the movie..
It all comes down to how much you like it, and your skills in the end though..

Whoa! That looks JUST like Christine did when Arnie first got her!

I'd just make it run, stop and steer...then drive it around and scare the shit outta people! [IMG]

Its got perfect glass in it right now but the windsheild and rear glass are just laying in it. I've got it full of trim and stuff for the car.

If you answered YES to any of the above questions, you should do the car......

That movie is Ok....but, it has nothing on the book....(not to sound like an intellectual snob...I actually dislike reading)....if you like the movie check out the book....goes into some gruesome detail on some of the 'killings'....

I love that body style...always have and always will...just get it and mess around with it maybe you can fix it maybe you can't...don't pass it up...

Very cool, I say build it, that thing is cherry for around here. I do know where there is one pretty close to me for somethin like $250 with a spun bearing and a dent in the rear 1/4. Owner says its not rusty, but others have said it is. Guess I should check it out.

Yeah, but that's definitely a parts car. I mean, you'd have to replace more stuff than you'd have left on it. So what you should do is get another one, with bad floors, bad glass, and good everything else, and work on THAT!

Check out the '57 Plymouth pics

wow Don, the car looks much better with the front set on it....hmmm maybe I should have thought about it more before letting it go.....oh well......YOU better fuck'n build that car or my kid is gonna be pissed at me [IMG] Oh and don't forget there was less than 8000 of those 57 fury's built would be a very bad shame to let it turn into fertilizer in your yard and we have plenty of soup and pop cans to go around......yeah buddy you NEED to build this car, if for no other reason than to piss off Arla [IMG]. Just think about how pissed they got seeing the top come of my car, then give it a 3 or 4 inch choppy that ought ta really put her panties in a bunch [IMG]. Oh and if you need some pics to get your blood flowing check out www.plymouthcentral.com I did some research on those cars when Nick offered me the 53 for the 58 and belive it or not I wouldn't have traded with out that 57 going in the deal (yeah I know I'm stupid).

I love those.. I say do it if you can. My skills are not up to snuff for something like that but man.. if they were.. plus it's a 2-door HT which makes it worthwhile. If it were a moredoor I would say no way. My $.02

Abomber30 had one posted a while back that he found, running and drivin in good shape for around 800 bucks. That would be a better place to start, I think.

Now that said, find yourself a pre-war pickup cab (Dodge Preferrably) and build a truck. Hack the ass end off that car, narrow it a bit and make a bed out of it. Those fins are cool, especially if you have all the trim for it. Of course, I am a bit biased.

I saw this guy sell one of those on Ebay that was rigged up to spontaneously play oldies music whenever someone set of a motion detector by the car... He replaced the lights in the radio to glow green too..

    That rocked!
