hey roothawg.....i have a 454 and a 4spd in mine. ididn't know there were any other combinations if you wanted to go fast. my dist cap is a little behind the wall...maybe 2 wires. even with the tunnel ram i can still get to them. i moved my rad up 1 inch. so you really cant tell it's not in the stock location.

i can take a pic but i haven't figured out how to post that dude on here yet. the last few yrs i worked for a living my moto was if my welder won't do it niether will i. i got tired of my tools running off "by theirself " so i quit gettin 'em out! so it kinda limits what i can do. i'm trying to learn though.

Gotta friend with that combo. He gave up about 3 inches of legroom but doesn't care because he's short.

Maybe RatBone can jump in here, he has a big block in his coupe. Pretty damn clean too I might add....and he DRIVES it also.

    Thanks Retrorod!

mine has the stock length hood and the firewall sunk back 4"

you could just reverse the firewall and get the needed clearance

I can run hood sides but the headers burn in a couple spots

No replacement for displacement. Gonna use a 454 in a 27 modified I just started working on.

we typically set back the motor mounts 2" back from where a small block sits, you can just move the radiator forward also, that applies to model A's and 32's

don't have a close-up photo but on my 30 half of the distributor is under the cowl, makes changing the wires a pain as the car is channeled
