I actually love to barter all I can since I really don't have the money to just go out and buy parts . It's really great for both parties since both will end up with something they can both use in the end . Personally I have anything from SBF parts , performance cams , engines for rebuild , parts for a 49/50 Fords , carbs , hubcaps , trains , train track , train accessories , old thick Edison 78 records , 45's , EM pinball machines , lots of good fishing rods , reels , tools and this is just some things to give you an idea on how much of a pack-rat I am ! I collect way too many items ! I bet I have lots more I didn't even come close to to trade with . Jim
Gosh Jim, it sounds like I'll have to bring a trailer when I come out to Glen Rock in the fall. Loaded going out, and loaded coming back!
Ron , You can also bring along a car to build for winter work too ! If you got some things I can use , I will be glad to do some trading What do you need ???? Jim
I've got yblock bellhousings that are taking up a lot of space if anyone wants to trade something for them. Gonna be moving into a new place in October and need to thin out this stuff im never gonna use.
I have complete '54 front drum brakes and a '54 steering column outer housing. Some turn signal parts too. I will have a complete '53 steering column in decent shape (automatic shift) as soon as I get around to removing it from my car. Oh, and an old bumper jack but I don't know what it's from. All for sale or trade, I suppose...
Night Owl , maybe you can get someone in a replay to help . With it being the season when people do a lot of traveling to car show and things of that nature , you might be able to get it close enough to rent a trailer and go get it . Just a thought . Jim
I have some things to sell or barter with . I have a good 1957 Ford 3 speed steering column from steering wheel to the steering box . I bought that from a older gentleman that had a 57 and wanted an auto trans . So he took everything out from a donor car and swapped out the standard set up . Now I have no use for the column with box . I also have some new and very good used SBF flattap camshafts . Some are nice torque cams with smooth idle for use with stock parts and a couple bigger performance camshafts too . I also have some forged pistons w/rods that are a .030 overbore for a 289/302/5/0/351w . The one set for a 351w is a dished set that is good for pump gas engines . These are great for engines using a stock set up , blowers , turbos and nitrous set up . One set for the 289/302/5.0 is a stock bore but forged pistons w/rods that came from a 5.0 HO engine . One set for the 289/302/5.0 is a .030 overbore forged piston w/rods that are hypertec. with coated skirts . One set is for a 289/302/5.0 that are a .030 overbore Domed forged piston w/rods . The compression should be from a 10 to 1 or a 11 to 1 compression depending on your heads that you use . I would say they will more than likely be a good 10.5 to 1 compression for most heads being used and can be used on pump gas engine without any problems . you will have to know what CC chambers the heads are to get a close idea on the compression that they will produce . they will make a nice piston for a strong street performance engine or a street/race engine that can be run on good pump fuel or race fuel . I also have 1967 Ford 289 heads that are very nice . I have a nice set of chrome traction bars . A dual point distributor . A very nice 1949 Ford trunk lid ready to use . I have a complete set of original gl*** for a 49/50 and I think they will fit a 1951 as well for a Ford Shoebox . I even have nice wheels and dog dish hubcaps for an 40's /50's Plymouth's too . I have lots of parts to trade or sell . As for Y block parts all I have left are some standard swing peddles , a Crane I believe pointless distributor change over complete set still new in package . Have Holley 600 carbs and a Holley 650 spread bore carb . 2 or 3 NEW Holley 94 rebuild kits from MACS . 4-Frog mouth air cleaners from Speedway . Very heavy alum. made . 3-small air cleaners for a 3x2 set up like no other . They are Red top , White air cleaner , blue bottoms with a 3 spoke spinner hold down tops. Top & bottom colors might be the other way around but you get the idea . I do have lots & lots more ! So I am open to all kinds of offers ! You just never know what I will trade for unless you ask . Of course that green stuff is also good too ! You can email me with questions at my home email @ retrojim1@comcast.net Thanks for looking ! Jim
