    Anyone here ever use Artistic Silver Plating in Signal Hill Calif for chrome plating or polishing? I have never used them, I am a little cautious about using someone new for all the chrome on the car. It needs to be show quality. Jon Wright in Ohio has been highly recommended, but I have a problem shipping all of the chrome that I spent hours and hours fitting to the car only to possibly getting lost in the mail. I would rather go to a shop local that does high end plating.

    Thanks

    Hey,

    Greig at Artistic has done work for Leno and some other "heavys"
    in the business- I don't know if they still do all work on site, though.

    You can talk to Bob Barnes at Verne's Chrome in Gardena. They have done some nice chrome and powder coating for me.

    I agree with SoCal Merc, Vern's is a very good shop. Bob is an old LA Roadster member and understands the quality expected. He's done both chrome and powder coating for me with great results. The FOGGER

    Christensen Plating in LA is one of the best. Sometimes slow turnaround if they are really busy. Not the cheapest ither;

    If Model Plating in Bell Gardens is still in business, they do awesome work. I believe they did all of the work on Roth's Orbitron.

    I used Model plating all the time back in the the 80's but they stopped plating auto parts some time back. They did a great job. I have used Christensen's in the past but didn't like having to wait 6 months for it, I also just heard that they changed ownership.

  8. +1 for Bob Barnes and Vern's Chrome
