is "chevs of the 40s" the name of a business, or do you mean the stock manifold from a 40's 216?

"Chevs of the 40's" is the name of the business. I've seen those headers but don't know of anyone who's used them. I bought my Fentons from them.

googled it. Looks like they have fentons for $260 and tubing style headers for $150. The tube headers have 3/8's flanges so they are probably decent.

  5. You could split your stock manifold. Cheaper than Fentons. Todd

I bought tube headers for my 235 and they gave me trouble. I had serious clearance issues on the bottom of my intake, (offy. they may be fine with a stock intake) as well as leak problems. If you search ebay, stock split manifolds show up pretty frequently and are cheap. If you take your stock manifold to a welding shop that could also be an option. My advice would be to hold out for Fentons. They are quality, and if installed correctly should be trouble free. For the extra hundred bucks it's a better investment.

Call Chevs of the 40's and ask them. They talked me out of buying some sheetmetal parts. The guy was very honest. He said that most people return the part I was asking about.
