I know this is an older thread, and this may not be the right place to post a question, that being said. I have a 56 town sedan, 351w/AOD swap, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to run for trans cooler lines.

When I did my '54 the lines I used were two 36" long 5/16" steel brake lines from Autozone just some slight bends off the transmission fittings and a straight shot along the oil pan to the B&M trans cooler which is mounted behind the grille on the splash pan,I did not run lines off of the radiator.

Awesome thank you. Did you have to use any sort of adapter to thread them into the transmission?

The fittings were already in my transmission but they are not regular hardware or parts store fittings they have an internal o-ring to seal them so a visit to your Ford dealer or a local transmission shop is where you want to get those the external thread is 5/16'' tube A cooler this size is about right to mount behind the grille. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Derale-13502-Series-8000-Plate-Fin-Transmission-Cooler-Kit-13-Row/141889632859?_trkparms=aid=1110001&algo=SPLICE.SIM&ao=1&asc=61006&meid=aaf803fc31ac467cac0f3d6330e818f6&pid=100008&rk=2&rkt=12&sd=401063201101&itm=141889632859&pmt=1&noa=0&pg=2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100008.m2219 Once you get the special case fittings take one along to match up to the brake line tubing when you buy it some 5/16" lines have metric fittings on the ends :mad:
