I'm so sick of the "What type tire should I put on the car so it's politically/period correct" post's.

Thats the best part about hot rods and k/customs......theres no rules involved. And thats how it should stay. If I wanted to be involved in a type of car hobby that did that then I'd get into Corvettes,lol......

We focus on cars 1950 -1969. Remember the first posts you read were from last March ... we've evolved a lot since then.

Los Boulevardos doesn't give a fuck if we don't run OG NOS Autronic Eye's, Compasses and all that other useless shit you like. this is not a trend, most of us are all car guys that have had many 60's cars before. We follow tradition, but are not BOUND by it.

and yes i do have 2 cars and run a rod shop that owns a fleet of vintage cars

"More than a trend"...c'mon Sammy. Seriously. The whole of automobile enthusiasm/lifestyles/culture is and has always been cyclical in nature. It revolves around what has been, is, and is yet to come. Styles(trends) get recycled and built upon. You're Chevy is a testament to that. Lifestyles are trends. There's nothing wrong with that. Some guys like flake in their paint, some guys run flatheads in their hotrods. It's about personal taste and giving a nod to a style that influenced them. You say it like it's a terrible thing and that you're way above it. Haha. 100 spoke wires and red and white paint jobs were a trend once too. Don't take yourself or your car too seriously.

Sure, car clubs starting out on the internet are a fairly new thing. I doubt we're the first and we most certainly won't be the last. If you lived out in SoCal, you'd know that the internet was merely a platform upon which we, as a chapter of the club, used to get together and function in the same way every other car club does.

I've been pretty vocal on our board about not wanting to be pigeon holed by the label of "Bellflower" style. But I didn't start the club. I just saw a bunch of guys who love the same style of cars that I do and wanted to be a part of something on and off of the internet. I've met great friends and have had good times. It's been a great year. Sorry your experience wasn't the same. But your criticism in no way takes away from what we as a club have done and will do in the future.

Sammy, if you feel you have the right to openly criticize(even jokingly) a club or it's members, common sense should tell you that the targets of your criticism might feel that a response to your comment is warranted(even it's a backhanded, light hearted response). You gave your opinion...I gave mine. I think that's a fair exchange, don't you.

I find it ammusing that you so easily make your opinions known, yet accuse others of overreacting when they voice their own. You like to hit and then get all defensive.. You're like the Winky Wright of the HAMB.
