Anyone with E&J's....favor?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by RileyRacing, Jul 3, 2004.

  1. Hey,

Anyone who has a set of E&J's, could ya take a measurement of the diameter for the headlight? We got some cool *** small sealed beams at work and I'm just wondering if they will fit... [IMG]

no, I don't have a set, but plan on getting some and while these lights are around I wanna see if I could use em.

Someone is repoping them in fibergl***, there was a feature in Street Rodder (I think) a few years ago.

I used Wagner 4454 its a 60w hi, lo beam. the opening for the headlight is 3 3/4 inches. the bulb i used i think is a 4 inch headlight. hope that helps.
also there is a small amount of machining that you have to do inside the headlight to get it to fit flush.

I think there is more than one company reproducing them in both gl*** & aluminum.

I think Zippers is doing some in the E&J style.

There's also some cheap Mexican knock-offs that are of questionable quality that pop up on eBay from time to time...

    Doesn't answer your question, but...

  5. Thanks.... these are dual beam (hi/lo) that are around 4" around. I haven't measured them (they're on a prototype car in our building) but I plan on it Tuesday when I go back to work...

Never thought of looking for repops... maybe the gl*** ones would be easy to adapt. [IMG]

I can remember the days when $50.00 would get you a pair, Hershey asking prices are $300-$500 today.
