I'm going to try to get my AOD mounted in my 54 this week and have to admit that I've never done this before.

So...any words of wisdom or tips would be great from you guys.

It looks pretty straightforward to me. 1) Make sure the torque converter is properly seated 2) raise up the ****** and bolt the bell housing to the block. 3) bolt the torque converter to the flywheel by spinning the engine, one bolt at a time.

I've heard that with an AOD, you have to make absolutely sure that the torque converter is seated properly or you'll destroy it. Other than the fact that it seems to be seated properly and looks like it'll clear/bolt up, should I be looking for something else?

    Thanks in advance guys

Did you get the Lokar TV cable? I have some info on that on file,it is VERY important that it is right on or bye,bye AOD. You can pm me with your email and I'll send it to you, the directions with the TV are off a bit. Before you install it if your rear gear ratio is 3.50 or higher numericly you will need a Hi-Rev governor installed before you put it in the car(ask me how I know)

Jeff...I haven't ordered the lokar tv cable yet, but I plan to asap (it looks easy enough to install after the AOD is mounted though...correct?)

I have your email address...I'll email you to pick your brain about the governor.
