Has anyone put an AOD transmission into a 1954 F100 frame. Do I need to remove the current crossmember mounting brace or can I use it and modify it to Mount the new aod transmission?

At a minimum, you will have to modify it. The AOD mount pad is quite a bit further back then most earlier transmissions due to the OD planetary ge****t. Mock it up and start measuring. See if it is easier to modify the existing cross member, or build a new one.
