Has anyone put an AOD transmission into a 1954 F100 frame. Do I need to remove the current crossmember mounting brace or can I use it and modify it to Mount the new aod transmission?

At a minimum, you will have to modify it. The AOD mount pad is quite a bit further back then most earlier transmissions due to the OD planetary gearset. Mock it up and start measuring. See if it is easier to modify the existing cross member, or build a new one.
