me and kevin(metalix_421) played out this scenario last night as we were looking at my car on the trailer "if my 52 styline had been running. Kevin says, Uh uh I got this running car. Lets knock it in the head for parts? Me uh why would we do that it runs? is there a title? Kevin uh uh for the brake lines fuel lines. Me " but it runs and drives" kevin uh I don't know The more we talked it out the more unrealistic it seemed.

Either one of us would have caught on to the other bringing in a illegal/stolen car around and would've run from it like it was a smelly pirtate wh*re.

Oh yeah, after seeing those videos and the pictures of the two perps, they are guilty as hell. And the wife who was defending her hubby is just as guilty IMO. If I were stripping down cars (and a motorbike) in my backyard you can bet my wife would have been asking questions. Even the neighbors said they heard sawzalls running at 2 am.

    BUSTED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D

I like her snobby comment about "Look where we live, do we look like we need to steal !" Uh, hate to tell you honey, but that ain't the Playboy Mansion you have there. :p

Congratulations! It appears you've given birth within the last couple of days. On October 23rd there were only two kids, now there are three?

"My husband, Mitchell Landau, does indeed own a mattress store. He works 60-70 hours a week, has two children under the age of three and he is also INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY."

  8. The plot thickens.

  9. I tried - believe me I tried, but I can't stay out of this one.

    Um, sorry NO IT WASN'T!

And...turning a blind eye doesn't innocence make.

I certainly hope this works out in the best way possible for the real owner of the car.

I sincerely hope this thread doesn't get shut down because it isn't often we get to celebrate a couple of lowlife car thieves being caught, and we deserve to be able to enjoy this moment. For once the good guys won. :D Thieves have terrorized our hobby long enough.

    I can see it now....

"Your honor, i paid him to steal it but when he brought it to me i decided i didn't want it, therefore i am innocent of all charges. I rest my case."

This thread is an epic in the making.

  14. Lol. I hate to defend anything she has posted as she seems to make it up as she goes along but saying you have two kids under the age of three doesn't preclude having a third. :D

Jury members for this case, PLEASE do not let thieves off with a slap on the wrist (probation). It is so seldom that car thieves are actually caught, that when they are, they need to be made examples of. We are tired of people stealing our pride-n-joy – a car like this is different than a daily driver – like the owner said...it is more like part of the family. It is personal.
I know it is hard to think of yourselves as being the ones sending a person to jail, but all these cases of 'getting off light' is the whole reason why this crime is out of control.
    A little justice, please.

If I'm not laying some pipe in the wife at 2am and outside doing something else, you better believe she'd march her a$$ out there to see what i'm screwing with.

I wonder if she realizes that everything she says in here could potentially be used against her old man in a trial.

Seems to me the first thing a competent lawyer would tell her would be to STFU!

The victim has been deprived of his lawfully owned property, the suspect (s) need to be taken to civil court when the criminal proceedings are over. I am sure that making over $100,000.00 a year it will not be a burden to pay the victim the worth of this valuable collector car. Juries nowadays tend to favor the victim in civil trials.

Ooooh, good thinking ! :) Even if they don't get what they deserve in court, the victim could score in a civil suit, ala the OJ Simpson fiasco. The victim might get a lein against that mansion of theirs ! Wouldn't THAT be cool?
