Hello- Just a quick question for any of you F100 guys on here... I'm in the process of putting my truck back on the DMV system, I need to get an approximate weight of my '57 F100 for registration and insurance purposes. Anybody on here have an original owners manual for '57-'60 or know from your registration paperwork what the truck's weight is? Here's the lame part, in California our registration fees for trucks are based on vehicle weight not age, so I'm also wondering what my reg. fees are likely to be. If I have a weight, the gal over at Triple A can give me a ballpark dollar amount on my annual fees. I sure do appreciate someone taking a moment to help me out on this. I'm sick of pouring over deadend searches on the internet! Thanks guys! -DON-
Hi, I have a 1960 F100 custom cab and it was weighed recently at 1580 kilograms which multiplied by 2.2 will give you 3476lbs. That should keep the DMV happy! Mine is a 223 cubic inch six cylinder engine.
Cool! Thanks for taking the time, I appreciate that! Sounds like 3400 pounds would be a good safe estimate for what I need. Man, I dig this message board, everyone is always helpful and willing to contribute and lend a hand to another in need! Really makes me wish the rest of the world were as cool as the H.A.M.B.! Enjoy your Sunday! -DON-
