I am getting ready to build an engine for a NOS set of Ardun heads. The heads have the stock seats, as seen in the pictures, and I have concerns about them falling out as the temps change on the two types of metal. I am trying to get advice from someone who knows how to fix this, or find someone to send them to for valve work and installation. I will add more pics and info as needed
Hi, I have a 1st Gen set of heads that were recently rebuilt and are running quite well in ‘53 Ford with an 8ba and AOD. Here’s what I had done: 1. New Guides 2. New Seats 3. Modified Chevrolet Valves 4. Machined heads and put in adaptors to put the spark plugs at the face of the combustion chamber rather than deep in the spark plug chamber. 5. Put seals at the bottom of the Spark Plug tubes to keep oil out of them There is a lot to building an Ardun. Suggest you do a lot of research and stash some money as it is expensive. Send me an email at tstryker1.com for my phone number if you want to chat. By the way, Don Ferguson at Ardun Enterprises is an excellent source of information and a real nice guy. Good Luck, Tom
This sounds like what i need to do, Did Don Ferguson do the work for you? I spoke to him on the phone, not long after I bought the heads, but I was BROKE, and everything he said went right over my head. I did buy my cam and lifters from him, and he seems to be a nice man, I was shocked that he gave me his cell number. I will send you an e-mail to get your number, your experience may help me a lot. Thanks Robbie
No on Ferguson doing the work. What cam did you get? Check your messages for my phone number. I am on Pacific Time.
