are 302 ford and 351W distributors the same

    I need to know if the Ford 1970 302 and the 351W Distributors are the same, are they interchangeable?
     
  2. can't swear to it but I think the 351 is longer, Now that I reread this, I guess I did not help much.

    No, they are not. The 351 is longer, the block is has a higher deck height. I'm building a Dart windsor based block, bored and stroked to 454 right now....

    I think 351 has a larger oil pump drive also

    Yep!... A 5/16" hex drive to where a 289/302 is only 1/4" hex...
    Ever see one of those twisted???....:eek:

    The Windsor distributor body is also beefier below the block mounting face..
