Is there a difference in 1940 Ford rear fenders, coupe....sedan....convertible?
I have two that don't have the same dimensions in the wheel well opening. They bolt up to the body just fine, but one is wider in the opening by nearly an inch and they don't look modified. I'm putting them on a convertible btw.
    Thanks

Should be the same. Old Ford's have quite a bit of variability in their parts. Replacement parts vs OEM have the largest differences.

  3. yes, they SHOULD be the same ,.but i have seen big differences in the wheel opening too. even on the same car from one side to the other

You have the rare Rocky Mountain fenders for cars sold new in mountainous areas. The downhill side gets bigger tires.
The design was allegedly copied from the famous slant-legged mountain sheep.

  5. What happens when you're driving uphill:rolleyes:

coupe, sedan, convertible rear fenders are the same. Pickup, wagon, sedan delivery are different from cpe, sdn, cnvrt, but the same to each other.

    That's MISINFORMATION

Pickups are not that same as anything else. They are unto themselves.
