Are car cruise DJ's too loud...or am I just getting too old?

Yes they are universally too loud. The music they pick usually sucks. But one thing that annoys me to death is DJs asking trivia questions. We have one DJ that asks rock trivia questions so obscure that even Dick Clark or Casey Kasem couldn't answer them. And then just yammers on and on, giving hints, and more hints, trying to pry an answer out of someone. It SUCKS!! Turn it down, play some decient music, and SHUT UP!

Always struck me as ironic that hotrodding started in the late 40's and early 50's, but music didn't get associated with it till a lot later. I remember reading an article about an old timer who was asked who they listened to 'back in the day'. Stan Kenton, Spade Cooley, Charlie Parker, Bob Wills, etc. The music most people now associate with hotrodding hadn't even been thought of....
