    Thank yoiu.

That would be Made in the USA.

    Thank you...

I live in one of the most anti-union states there are. I see plenty of non-union workers **** off like that, it's not a union thing it's a lazy thing.

    Bingo

WRONG: that's the wage for warehouse union workers in this state. Delivery drivers for beverage companies too. Those wages would in no way be permitted or allowed if a union wasn't involved AND THEY SHOULDN'T BE! I'm not saying everyone needs to be paid minimum wage or poorly for their hard work but what daily beverage delivery truck driver or warehouse worker should be paid 45.00 an hour? That's abot 6-8 grand a week in pay depending on taxes. There's a certain line that should be drawn at some point.

Warehouse workers in Michigan only make 9-10 bucks an hour...

  9. That's the janitorial team or laborers job.
Next you'll have the janitor on the forklift, he will hurt someone and on it goes......

Route driver for beverages are a totally different thing than driving a forklift, that is a lot of serious physical labor. The loading and unloading, stocking and on and on. Those guys bust their ***es for that money.

I had a guy bringing 100 cases of beer up 3 flights of stairs. I wouldn't want to do it, and the dude hustled doing, and rotated the older stock to the front.

  11. You need s math lesson.

45x40 plus load is about 22-2500 a week.
He will take home 1200 to his family.

It ain't easy running a forklift proficiently, and without incident in a crowded warehouse.

Add inclement weather( ie sub zero, snow/ice). Did the coating process out source these headers or was it across the board cost factor?

  13. Thank you. ;)

Difference is (correct me if I'm wrong)---you can walk up to your non-union ****off and send him home ("Go home, lazy ***---don't come back tomorrow either)...
But the union process is different, isn't it  Written reprimands per company handbook, arbitration, meetings with the union steward, etc. Can't just fire a union guy, can you?

I figure this one will get shut down before I get an answer.....

Funny, I havent worked in a union shop for a long time, I am white collar now, but when I was younger, I worked in union sawmills, as a re-saw feeder, grader and sometimes millwright. I dont really seem to recall a lot of guys taking 15 minute smoke breaks every hour. As a grader/saw feeder, I was setting the pace, and it was not exactly a picnic pulling on any chain that I was feeding. All the other guys were the same, and there was a lot of machismo and pride in seeting production records. In fact, I left the business in my thirties, one of my main reasons for leaving was that I realized my body wouldn't be able to hack what I was doing as I got into my mid forties, and the guys piling the wood I was pushing through had to work just as hard as I did. The days I was millwrighting were my slack days. Welding and fabbing, and changing bearings was like a holiday compared to feeding re-saw. I can only speak about union sawmills, but any guy that couldnt hack it would have his life made REAL difficult by his co-workers. Lots couldn't, and couldn't hack the abuse, and left. Wasn't a lot of room for slackers. But hey, this is the NW, and we have that "lumberjack" heritage thing. Maybe its different elsewhere.

That's pretty much the way it goes down where I work.
