I'm ***uming it's a 49-53. Bellhousing is not a part of the block and water outlets are at the front of the heads. This morning I tried to put a 50' ford 8ba bellhousing on this-what I'm ***uming is a 336, it didn't go on so easy. BTW, I did that so I could run the 3 speed overdrive. I'm just wondering if I'm spinning my wheels? All input is grately appreciated.

I think that you are referring to the 337 Lincoln/Truck flathead.

They are ginormous beasts, and I was under the impression that none of the regular flathead parts interchanged.

Do a search on here for "Lincoln flathead"

    Hope this helps.
