I'm looking for some inspration of some lettering I'll be doing in the next few weeks, so I'm looking any pic of old (60's/70's) dragster or funnycars? Anyone know of any sites?
The Funnycar Years and 70's Funnycars were two of the best websites dealing with '60's and '70's F/C's. They're both down now. At bookstores there are vintage F/C books available. Good luck in your search. Joel
not funnys....but just as cool.......http://www.mysterion.net/AAFA/-index.html also might try http://www.wediditforlove.com and nitrogeezers.com.......brandon
Ok, nitrobrother, you earned your "bones" tonight. My original bookmark came up empty, thanks for posting the link. That's a great site. Ya digging it Jeffro? Joel
I have a certain "passion" about nostalgia funny cars. I created the first NFCA site and ran it for four years for free and had over 100 owners registered. Then another guy took over the organization and started asking me how much I wanted and when I gave him a price, the next thing I new some other jamoke had the "official site" complete with ripped off layout and my content. Oh, well, I still own the "good" domain names and I also own the "funnycaryears.com" domain and still talk with the guy who originally built that site. Some day I'll get around to bringing it back. Jeffro, one book you should try to find is "Fabulous Funny Cars" by Fetherston and Reyes. If you can't get motivated by reading that book, then you're needing some pure nitro hits!
nirro bro you have any pics of the voodoo vega??trying to find it for a rebuild.. my friend was the owner...it was last seen as the magnum force owned by a gruop of nyc cops
Aurora made a model of the car: Also, check the 70s Funny Cars site (link was posted earlier in this thread) and scroll down the right side to the "Forgotten Funny Cars" section. You'll find a snippet on the "Maximum Force" Vega that used to be the VooDoo car. Dunno if it's the same as the "Magnum Force" that you're looking for.
NOW I know who you are NITROFC! Hey, Al, how's it going? Mark's site still shows you as "under construction"...tho't you guys were ready to run. Did you see Art's Somerset project? Too new for most circuits, but ought to look good.
