How many of you hit your local scrap yards daily. I have been watching one near me for years. I try to stop by there every day. With scrap prices up last few years lots of good stuff coming out of the old farmsteads, and hedge rows. Pickedup a nice Allstate singlewheel trailer, got there before they pushed it up in the pile, but wasn't as lucky on a mullins that came in later. The top was gone but it appeared that the trailer was in pretty fair shape, before the frontend loader pushed it up in the pile and wasted it. People running it know what I look for so usually they set it aside. Be sure to pop the hood on everything. Found several aluminum intakes also. Have saved lots of Model A stuff and some later stuff over the years. Always interesting to see what is there today. Like a kid in a candy store RMAC
Take off, you Hoser! Spring is still a ways out for us. I'd say late April. I do agree that all the GOOD yards are buried for now.
been watchin a jag sedan, went in yesterday , second nice sunny day, THE REAR END WAS GONE!! We should gone out and rolled around in the snow, We did get the front suspension. power steering pump and brake booster-M cyl pedal for $ 125. Junior has located an other yard with jag, will check it out.
I have one here in Indy, I try to get too, found 2 nail heads in November no money, called some friends and they said they wanted them but never got there, "gone." When I went back 2 weeks ago, ask where they went "scrap pile".
