kilroy Kilroy Kilroy I applauded you , finally a man who knows what real hot rods were all about and the truth what it was really like back in the days . Not these rusted out POS that someone calls traditional Hot Rods .........

Thats all , hope not to piss off to many oh well...........

Since this is a "Traditional" hot rod board, and I think 'Traditional' implies 'Historical,' I look at things from a historically acurate perspective...

WWW's are/were considdered an accessory...

They were an expensive addition for the Hot Rodder or Customizer of the past. They wouldn't have been added to a car untill everything else had been done/paid for.

That means, engine work, body work, modifications, and paint would all have come before the addition of WWWs.

No primered rod would have had WWWs unless they were May-Pop Specials. I bet you would have been ribbed a little if you brought out a beater with a nice new set of WWW's. You might even have been h***eled by the man as to where you came accross such nice acoutramons...

While some old Hot Rodders hated WWWs (Doane Spencer, etc), many longed for the day that their car was finally shiney and they could afford some new tires...
