  2. Im trying to do a little of both...building and driving my '59 (it should be done by this spring), but as for the Model A, its building and more building....and more building. Did I mention some building? Anyway it'll all be worth it in the end;)

  3. Just as I often do -I was poor at saying what I meant........
I do love the OLD HAMB and it was great as is the current improved HAMB.......
I think anyone who was on the board before recent weeks ,would have a real attachment to the old one, because we had used it so long.

Didn't mean to insinuate the improvements arent a step forward, Ryan,I just miss some of the old characters I guess -that are not posting as regular as they did in the past.
I will try to post something more worthy of reading............

  4. Ironic Kenny, cause YOU'RE one of the people who's posts I miss......! :)

Right now I'm building or rebuilding. My Es*** roadster is all over the garage, clean, paint and repair the frame. I'll do a post on it later, its awesome, no more flat black for me.

Well, I'm here at work, where I spend too much of my time, closing up the arena after a late night basketball practice session. The season is almost over, the temps are getting warmer, and I'm looking forward to some more time in the garage. A lot of events and stuff that I have to be at work for mainly involve being here in case something breaks or blows up; this allows me alot of time for surfing the net.

About two years ago, when I first started reading this board, I had a project being worked on ('39 Chevy 2 door) by a shop where the guy was putting his worst help on it, and still claiming he wasn't making any money on the job. I'm a hell of a parts chaser, but not a real mechanic. I was getting pretty frustrated with the way the job was going, so I just put it on a shelf, so to speak. Since then, I've been collecting parts to build a RPU, and learning all I can on the HAMB. Besides the fact that I've always wanted a convertible, a RPU seems like a great project to learn how to weld on.

All of which is a long-winded way of saying that without this board, I don't think I would have ever gotten around to attempting to construct a hot rod from the frame up, and I wanted to thank Ryan for making so much knowledge accessable to us amateurs via the HAMB.
